CHROMagar ECC

CHROMagar ECC for the detection of and (simulatneous) enumeration of E.coli and coliforms in food and water samples.

Pouring technique - Simply incorporate 1ml of food or water sample into 10ml of melted CHROMagar ECC medium, and incubate at 37ºC for 24 hours

Membrane filtration techinque - Simply place the innoculated membrane on the CHROMagar ECC surface and incubate.

Precise and powerful detection and enumeration of E.coli and coliforms. Easily distinguishable colonies thanks to the markedly different colouring they have aquired on CHROMagar ECC:

• E.coli - blue
• coliforms - red

Results readable under normal lighting.
