BagFilter

In quality control labs, solid sample preparation is an inevitable preliminary, a source of problems in food analysis where sample often remain hetrogeneous, even after blending with a diluent. The remaining particles tend to be fibrous and difficult to eliminate from the mother solution which can alter later results. Here is the answer : BagFilter, the special beg for lab blenders (BagMixer type). BagFilter have a filter welded in the bag, leaving a compartment permenantly free from all particles. A balanced bacterial distribution in the inoculum is ensured by the backwards and forwards motion of the sample through the filter during blending. After blending, the inoculum bacterial characteristics remain unchanged. Thanks to this new method, a reduction in sample preparation time means a reduction in analysis time.

BagFilter are particularly recommended for users of the spiral Plater, or any automated analysis method (no risk of blocked pipettes...) BagFilter are sterilised by Gamma irradiation.

BagFilter is protected by a patent.

Which model?

BagFilter comes in two models : model P is designed to be pipetted after blending. Model S has a transversal weld to retain the contents of the bag while pouring the inoculum into a beaker.

BagFilter, with a non-woven filter, is recomended for the analysis of meat products.

  • Quick and easy pipetting behind the filter
  • No blocked pipettes or straws
  • Ideally suited for rapid analysis methods
  • Bacterial concentration behind the filter remains unchanged
